Richardson

Arapaho, Richardson Neighborhood

Arapaho features mostly single detached homes built during the 1960s and 1970s, offering spacious floor plans including three and four-bedroom options. The neighborhood benefits from a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, providing a retreat from the busier parts of the city. Daily needs are easily met thanks to the close proximity of various businesses, grocery stores, and a small selection of coffee shops and dining options. Primary and secondary schools are easily reachable in this area. Though greenery is limited within the neighborhood itself, numerous parks are conveniently located in nearby areas, adding accessible outdoor options. Parking availability is excellent, making car transportation convenient throughout.

Arapaho has a character that appeals to not an especially diverse group of people. Although the ambience is not the most lively in this area with the bars in nearby neighborhoods, it is easy to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located close by. Arapaho is very quiet overall, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. This area also features almost no greenery; however, there are about 10 green spaces nearby for residents to discover, including Cottonwood Park and Heights Park, and they are especially well-spread out, which makes them easy to reach.
